Editor, Amanda, recently spoke with KISS 92.1 morning show radio hosts
Laura Wilde
and Jeanne Ryan
about teens and gambling. Both Jeanne and Laura talked about he
importance of kids learning the value of money. Jeanne said, "When
you lose money gambling, that's pretty serious. That money has to be paid
back." Both women agreed there needs to be someone in the schools that kids can talk to--an adult kids can trust. "There are so many things kids have access to that we didn't have access to," Laura said. Finally, both Laura and Jeanne emphasized the importance of good parental role modeling. The message from Laura and Jeanne to parents: Be aware of what your kids are doing AND be aware of what kind of example you're showing your kids. the message from Laura and Jeanne to kids: Be respectful of your money.
