Kids From Around-the-World Grateful Graffiti

Junior Editor's Note
by Brittney S.

Hi. I'm Brittney S., the Junior Editor of WannaBet Online Magazine for Kids Concerned About Gambling.
The theme for this issue of WannaBet is Kids Around the World Grateful Graffiti, and many readers have e-mailed us about what they are grateful for. As it turns out, many people thought alike when it came to deciding what was most important to them during these times of reflection.
Many people wrote that they were grateful for friends and family. Once respondent writes, "I am thankful of everything and everyone in my life, who have made me what I am today." Our family and friends have a different perspective on our actions and opinions than we do, and through their viewpoints and support they help us learn and grow.
Blessings are another thing many readers were grateful for. Not only food or clothing, but the other people who make a difference in our lives and the times we've shared with them, such as teachers, coaches, or maybe doctors who have made the ultimate difference between life and death in your own or a loved one's life.
There were so many more things our repondents were grateful for, such as life, self-confidence, education, peace, and people who have positively influenced our lives.

When we really think about the things that are the most important to us, the things or people who make a positive difference in our lives, we realize that things like gambling aren't on the list.

Grateful
By Brittney S.
Grateful
For Rain, for sunshine and air
Grateful
For family, and friends who care
Grateful
For children, who know not of war
Grateful
Their love is a kind we adore
Grateful
For laughter, for good carefree fun
Grateful
For friend's shoulders that catch tears when they come
Take nothing for granted
Not even this night
Delight in small joys
And celebrate life
